Recipes - Main Course Dishes - Mutton Dishes - Spareribs in Spicy Sauce



Ingredients:

2 Onions - minced
1 Clove Garlic - minced
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Black Pepper
2 tsp Water
5 Tbsp Chutney
1 Cup Tomato Sauce
3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Mustard - prepared or dried
5 ml Salt
1.5 Kgs Spareribs or chops


Method:

Arrange ribs in base of ovenproof dish, spread the minced onion and garlic.
Sprinkle with a few drops of lemon juice, cover with seran wrap, puncture wrap
and microwave on high for 5 mins.

Mix remainder of ingredients, including lemon juice, pour over ribs, mix well,
cook covered for another 5 mins on medium. Turn ribs and mix well with sauce.
Cover and microwave for a further 5 mins on medium.

Uncover and microwave for 5 mins on high.

Serves 6

If 1 Kg of ribs is used, then reduce cooking time by 5 mins.
